A note on the images: I have culled these images from various internet sources, and have in most cases resized and otherwise edited them. The result is a batch of 72 dpi "thumbnail sketches" meant to give the general impression of our authors. They don't substitute for the original portraits or sketches, whether in their online format or in hard-copy form. I believe posting such reduced-quality thumbnail portraits constitutes fair use and will offend no copyright holders, but if any such should request that I remove an image, I will do so promptly.
