Oscar Wilde's Critical Essays. Editing contributions for a volume on Oscar Wilde's critical essays with an emphasis on how those texts were received in the author's own time and how they have impacted contemporary debates in criticism and theory.

The New Critics: Formalist Literary Theory in America. Manuscript nearing first-proofing stage. Expected publication date first quarter of 2010. Cambridge Scholars Publishing.

The Frankfurt School of Critical Theory. I am currently editing and introducing a volume of essays by sixteen contributors on various authors and aspects of the Frankfurt School. Cambridge Scholars Publishing. Manuscript complete, in final publication stages for late 2009.

"Wordsworth." Article for the Encyclopedia of Environmental Ethics and Philosophy. Gail/Cengage Group. Completed, 2008.

"Oscar Wilde's Aphorisms, Aestheticism, and Shaftesbury's Whig Ideal." Essay in draft form. Suggests that Wilde's aesthetic stance stems in part from the Whig ideal of the gentleman or aristocratic critic, an instance of which may be found in Shaftesbury's writings.

"Shelley's Prometheus Unbound and Aeschylus." Essay in draft form. Addresses Shelley's complex relationship to the poetics and politics of Aeschylus.

"Gerard Manley Hopkins and Contemporary Ecocriticism." Essay in draft form. Explores Hopkins' poetry in light of ecocritical debates about the representation of nature.

"Thomas Carlyle, William Pulteney Alison, and the Poor Law Debate." Essay in draft form. Explores Carlyle's interest in Dr. Alison's contribution to the debate about reforming British and Scottish poverty laws.
